Welcome to REAL RADIO's Blog Space. REAL RADIO is a Capital District group comprised of four musicians, including me (MB) who are dedicated to playing music that we love to hear. Melody is primary with REAL RADIO. That tune that really has a great hook...that's the one you'll hear us play. We are covering songs that have something truly memorable about them. It can be the lyrics, the melody, the hook, the arrangement...it doesn't really matter. REAL RADIO is playing the music that holds a special place in our hearts and our music libraries!

JUDE HANLEY is our guitar player. He also plays a role as music director, collecting the sheets and recordings we need to create our sound. Jude has played with a number of local groups, including the Lost Faculties.

RUSS MOORE is the quintessential bass player. Cool, laid-back and with a great sense of rhythm. Russ has played everything from R&B to Country, but now he's playing the music he loves best.

VICTOR MOTTA is without a doubt the most experienced player in REAL RADIO. He's been playing in and around the capital district since he was in high school (many, many years ago) and with some of the best club bands around, including Night Shift, Lois & the Kryptonytes and Red Otis. There is no limited to the talent Victor brings to REAL RADIO.

Me, well, I'm just out-of-mind excited to be playing with such talented and supportive musicians. In REAL RADIO I still sing the stuff I'm known for, including Aretha Franklin, Melissa Ethridge, and Patti Smyth. I'm also being challenged to try those songs I've long loved, but never had the opportunity to try, like Green Day, R.E.M., Jack Johnson and Steve Miller.

Because we have such an eclectic song list, our working name was MIXED MESSAGE...so you may hear that name still out there in advertising. Either way, REAL RADIO is the real deal. Come check us out!
